Life Skills Training (Skills4Life)

Life skills is a term used to describe a set of basic skills acquired through learning and/or direct life experience that enable individuals to effectively handle issues and challenges commonly encountered in daily life. The goal of this program is to enable individuals develop a basic level of knowledge and skill set within a number of practical areas to nurture personal and professional development throughout a lifetime.

Areas covered include but not limited to; goal setting, time management, financial literacy, creativity, critical thinking, personal grooming & etiquette, problem-solving, decision-making, the ability to communicate and collaborate – all essential skills for success in the 21st century, for successful and employable individuals.

Employability Skills Training (EST)

Employment Skills are non-technical skills that play a significant part in contributing to the individual’s effective and successful participation in the workplace. Employability Skills qualification is therefore ideal for individuals seeking to improve their employment prospects.

This qualification is aimed at individuals who want to progress into internship, traineeship, apprenticeship or employment as well as supporting the development of techniques required for successful independent living.

Areas covered include but are not limited to; employability, work ethics, CV writing, interview techniques, job search techniques, critical thinking and problem-solving, teamwork, and collaboration, professionalism and strong work ethic, effective communications, leadership, initiative, attention to detail, analytical and quantitative skills etc.

Individuals aiming to enhance their workplace skills and employability, including graduates from Vocational Training Centers.
